What Actually Changes The Number
These aren't padded ranges meant to cover us either way. Here's what genuinely moves a quote up or down on a real job.
- Well depth. A 350-foot Woodbine well needs more pipe, more wire, and a stronger pump than a 150-foot shallow well. That's real material cost, not markup.
- Access. A wellhead in an open pasture is a different job than one crowded against a foundation or boxed in under a deck.
- Condition of what's already down there. Rusted galvanized pipe that crumbles on the way up costs more time than pipe that comes up clean in one pull.
- How many problems stack up. A pump replacement on a well that also needs a new check valve and a tank recharge costs less combined than three separate trips.
- Same-day versus scheduled. Emergency calls worked into an already-full day sometimes carry a modest trip fee if it means rearranging the schedule for other customers.
Payment
Cash, check, or card at time of service. We don't offer in-house financing. Larger jobs like new wells can split into a deposit at scheduling and a balance due at completion.
Pricing Questions
Is the $89 diagnostic fee really waived?
Yes. Hire us for the repair on the same visit and the diagnostic fee comes off the final bill. Get a second opinion or handle it yourself instead, and the $89 covers our time and the trip out.
Do prices change for emergency or after-hours calls?
Same-day calls worked into an already-full schedule sometimes carry a modest trip fee, since it means rearranging other customers. Standard business-hours calls during the week don't carry any surcharge.
What's not included in these ranges?
Permits or inspections required outside standard Hunt County private-well work, and any electrical panel upgrades unrelated to the well circuit itself. We flag either one before we start if your job needs it.
Why is your new-well range so wide?
Because depth swings that wide across the county. A shallow well on flat, easy-access ground can finish near the bottom of the range. A deep Woodbine well needing a bigger pump and more casing lands near the top. We narrow it fast once we check nearby state well records for your property.
